- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1 large egg

- 1/2 cup brown sugar

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (to adjust consistency)
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warmed milk, melted butter, mashed banana, and the egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 12×18 inches). Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
- Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze:
- Beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Serve:
- Spread the glaze over warm rolls and serve immediately.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle chopped nuts or chocolate chips in the filling.
- Rolls can be made ahead: refrigerate assembled rolls overnight, then bake the next morning.
