- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of American cheese
- Dill pickle slices
- Shredded lettuce
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Combine the Sauce and Beef:
- Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and stir well. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to thicken and blend the flavors.
- Assemble the Sloppy Joes:
- Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Place a slice of American cheese on the bottom bun, spoon the sloppy joe mixture on top, and layer with pickles and shredded lettuce.
- Serve:
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
